Cypress Tree Golf Club provides activities that encourage maximum participation by Air Force personnel, their family members and eligible DoD and NAF civilian employees in a country club atmosphere. Cypress Tree provides two 18-hole championship golf courses, lighted driving range, putting greens, clubhouse with restaurant, lounge, snack bar, club storage, cart, club and locker rental and a fully stocked pro shop.
The Cypress Tree Golf course is a 36-hole facility that includes a chipping green, a lighted driving range and two putting greens. Cypress Tree has a professional instructor on staff available for individual or group golf lessons. The West Course is now the University Course and the East Course is now the River Course. Both courses are difficult enough for experienced players to enjoy while not being so hard that beginners are intimidated.
There are always updates being made to provide the best experience for golfers. A proposed irrigation project that would pull water from the Alabama River to the University Course in an effort to be more budget friendly, will prove to be one of the top golf operations in the Air Force.
