About Us

Whether you're new to the water or an advanced swimmer, we have something for you here at the Aviation Cadet Pool! A splash pad welcomes younger audiences, a shallow end encourages play, a water slide, and a rock wall to those who are wanting a good challenge. There's a spot for you to kick back and enjoy a small snack or get a tan by the poolside.

Pool Admission

Seasonal pool passes can be purchased at the Aviation Cadet Pool only.

Daily Pass $5
Monthly Individual Pass $20

Fish Pass

FREE, with valid military ID With a fish pass, youth ages 11-13 may obtain a fish pass that allows them to swim unattended at the pool. Child is required to swim 40 feet, tread water for 1 minute and pull themselves from the water without a pool ladder.

Special Rules for COVID-19

Maxwell Cadet Aviation Pool Rules In an effort to provide a safe and clean facility that adheres to the social distancing requirements due to Covid-19, we ask our pool patrons to adhere to the following rules and information:

  • There is a max capacity of 100 patrons that will be strictly monitored.
  • Please do NOT wear masks while swimming in the pool. Masks do not have to be worn on the pool deck either however they are required in the locker rooms and bathroom facilities.
  • The slides, basketball goals, and rock wall are not available for use.
  • Every other shower and toilet stall is closed; please do not attempt to use closed off facilities.
  • Please shower before entering the pool.
  • Washing hands thoroughly and using hand sanitizer is highly encouraged.
  • Water fountains are currently unavailable.
  • Lounge chairs or picnic tables should be used by families who live together.

Additionally, all other regular pool rules are still applicable.

Aviation Cadet Pool Rules

  • Violation of pool rules may result in termination of aquatic facilities usage with no refund.
  • All patrons must show proper ID and pool passes
  • Report any medical conditions or emergencies to lifeguards immediately
  • Everyone must shower before entering the pool
  • Ages 10 and younger must be supervised by an adult
  • Children ages 11-13 need a Fish Pass with military ID
  • Only non-oil base sun block is permitted
  • Individuals experiencing the following conditions are prohibited from entering the pool: diarrhea, skin disease, open sores/lesions, sore/inflamed eyes and nasal or ear discharge
  • Only swim suits are permitted in pools
  • Swim diapers are required for children not potty-trained
  • No horseplay allowed in or around the pool
  • No glass containers allowed in the pool area
  • Only drinks are allowed in plastic or paper containers on deck; food allowed under the main patio
  • Smoking is prohibited in and around the pool facility
  • Staff is not responsible for items left at the pool facility
  • Patrons must be able to swim to use slides; clear the area under the slides after sliding
  • Children age 13 and younger must clear the pool during 10-minute pool breaks.
  • No standing on or jumping off large floats
  • Water wings are prohibited
  • Parents are responsible for watching their children
  • Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vests are the pool Tuesday-Friday.
  • During weekends and holidays, noodles and soft floats are permitted, as long as it is not a primary source of floatation
  • Diving is only permitted in the 9 ft. deep area
  • No breath holding or prolonged underwater swimming competitions allowed
  • Noodles and soft floats are permitted, as long as it is not a primary source of floatation
  • No chewing gum in or around the swimming pool
  • No pets are allowed in the pool area; except for certified service dogs
  • No standing on or jumping off large floats
  • Lap swim hours are designated for lap swimmers; other patrons may not enter the facility to wait on the deck or for use of the splash pad

  • NO alcohol per AFI 34-110 with the exception of private parties and written authorization from the 42 FSS Commander
