Commissaries

Serving The United States Armed Forces Since 1867

One of the best quirks of being in the military is the discounted prices of everyday grocery items. The commissary negotiates reduced prices on your behalf so you can purchase select items at a lower rate than you'll find anywhere else.

In order to use the facility, an ID is required. Accepted ID cards are active duty, Guard and Reserve, dependents, and retirees. Exceptions include Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and all service-connected disabled veterans, and caregivers enrolled in the VA's Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers program.

Special Information: Effective 18 March 2020 the Maxwell/Gunter Commissary will be conducting 100% ID check. No Visitors are allowed only ID cardholders. No Early Bird shoppers are allowed at this time.
